Slotted core design, eight fiber ribbon, 104-192 fibers, non-metallic, rodent protection
This is a rodent protection, eight fiber ribbon with slotted core design cable for duct installation. The outer sheath is made of nylon. Nylon is known for its harder and tougher material characteristics compared to PE, thus providing good protection against rodents. Being completely non-metallic, it can be installed in environments where there are electrical interference, for example alongside power lines.
Water blocking filling compound prevents water penetration along the cable.
It can be supplied with 104 to 192 fibers with eight fiber ribbon; either single-mode, multimode or both.
High packing density of the fibers is provided with the ribbon technology. This enables smaller outer diameter of cables even for large fiber counts.
The flexibility of this cable design and the improved splicing properties of the ribbon technology reduces the cost of installation.
The strength member and the slotted core design provide superior protection for the ribbon fibers.
