This is a light armoured cable
for aerial installation. The corrugated steel tape armouring
provides good protection against rodents yet allows the
cable to retain outstanding flexibility for easy installation.
A suspension steel wire integrated (integral
bearer) with the sheath creates the characteristic "figure-8"
profile well known for easy installation.
It can be supplied with 2 to 24 fibers;
either single-mode, multimode or both.
The loose fiber slotted core design provides
cables with good fiber protection and easy installation.
The strength member and the slotted core
design provide superior protection for the ribbon fibers.
The slotted core cable has high crush load
resistance. The radial shape of the slotted core profile
provides an effective cavity for the loose fibers to rest
in.
Water blocking filling compound prevents
water penetration along the cable.
